Microgaming released their first software in 1994.
They didn’t stop there, they have continued to develop and release top
of the line games and software ever since. In 1995 Microgaming
introduced a player tracking system as well as new casino management
tools. In 1997 they stepped up another notch on the ladder becoming one
of the founding members of the Interactive Gaming Council. In 1999
Microgaming released their PlayCheck software which is a top notch
online audit software.
Beginning in the year 2000, Microgaming started to
introduce more great tools for online casinos starting with CashCheck, a
payout tracking software. They also released the Microgaming Web Casino,
giving online casino players a choice to download or not. In 2001,
Microgaming was named ‘Best Software Provider’ by Casino Player Magazine
and they also named Microgaming as having the best Craps, Progressive
Games, Roulette and Slots. In 2002 Microgaming again moved up the ladder
of success setting a world record for the largest online jackpot won! In
this year they also received the Players Choice Award from Gambling
Online Magazine.
In 2003, Microgaming added a lot of new innovative
software to the online gambling world. They became a founding member in
e-Commerce, Assrance (eCOGRA) and the Online Gaming Regulation. In 2003,
they also launched their first poker software as well as their Viper
software. In 2004, Microgaming won the Gambling Online Magazine’s Top
Casino Software award for the second year in a row as well as the
Editor’s Pick Award. As of today in 2006, Microgaming is launching new
software all the time, and their progressive jackpot currently totals
over two hundred million dollars amongst nearly six thousand players.
